Ok damn I was not expecting ShinRan angst in this episode!!

i kinda got a vibe when that guy mentioned the shrine. Shin got VERY withdrawn and hesitant at just the name of it. apparently, he's very familiar with this area somehow. Shin's plans were specifically plotted out to visit locations and never mention the 'marriage prognostication shrine'. you noticed how quickly Shin navigated to each of the suspects' poetry composition locations?

also, when the... dentist? with the glasses started shuffling the papers together to put them in his hat. go back to that scene and watch how he handles his hat and the scraps of paper. i think he does a slight-of-hand trick there. my guess based on that one thing, the dentist is setting up the loan-shark for the murder. if the dentist didn't do it, i think perhaps he was placing the loan-shark at a specific location for some reason. perhaps it is a 2 person or even the whole group conspiracy.

also, how in the hell does Kogoro keep himself and Ran alive? the dude's always on vacation, winning some lottery for a hotel or something, renting cars and such. maybe him glomming onto people and using his 'fame' is just to get free meals? because if the guy can't get a paying case, the only income they'll have are the Kudou family checks paying Kogoro to take care of Shin.

You're right!! They would have to be more rich than they're shown to be, to be doing all that! Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they're surviving mostly off of the check "Conan's mom" gave them. If I remember correctly it was like 100k, which would be more than enough to live comfortably for the "6 months" this show apparently takes place in

:D hheheahh :D mhm if it takes place over six months, the mangaka must be smokin, drinkin, snortin, and shootin up way way waaaay too many drugs all at once. there is noooo effing way even the first 200 episodes could happen in six months... even if they made it out of 50% filler episodes... that would mean Kogoro would actually find/run into/have walk-in his office... 100 cases in 180days?!? most PIs never have 100 cases a YEAR let alone half a year. :o

yeah sure, you'd have to subtract say, 2 outta 10 cases that are Detective Boy's Club solo cases... hmm? pretty close to that number of 'canon episodes' for the DBC perhaps?

so that would make it around 75 cases for Kogoro in those 180 days? yeah. no. not realistic in any way. because that's just going off the first 200 episodes... there's 500+ more to go! :D
